Collaboration Framework
Poshlust is an independent practice involving interviews, consulting, conversation, documentation, and creative collaboration with individuals, artists, organizations, and communities. It operates outside any university, employer, or institutional affiliation. No part of this work is conducted on behalf of an academic or organizational body.
1. How Work Begins
All work begins with a clear conversation between collaborators about scope, expectations, and use.
Before any engagement, we establish:
what we are doing together
what your role or contribution is
how material may be used or shared
whether you will be identified or remain anonymous
any boundaries or restrictions you want to set
Nothing is recorded, documented, published, or used without prior written agreement.
2. Consent
Consent is required before any recording, documentation, publication, or use of material.
Consent includes agreement and understanding of:
the nature and purpose of participation or collaboration
how material or contributions may be used or published
whether attribution is public, professional, or anonymous
any limits on use, distribution, or representation
Consent is ongoing, not a one-time agreement. Participants and collaborators may revise or withdraw consent prior to publication or final delivery of work.
3. Participation and Agency
People involved in this work are not subjects of study. They are participants, collaborators, or clients depending on context.
All participation is voluntary. Individuals may:
decline to participate at any point
refuse to answer any question or request
request anonymity or pseudonymity
request review of their contributions before publication or release
set boundaries on how their material or input is used
No one is expected to participate beyond their comfort level.
4. Use of Material and Contributions
Material shared in the context of this practice may include conversations, interviews, consulting input, creative collaboration, or other forms of contribution.
This material may be used for:
written work
audio or visual media
consulting deliverables
creative or documentary projects
public-facing cultural or interpretive work
All use is limited to what has been explicitly agreed upon. Nothing is repurposed outside that scope without consent.
5. Editing and Representation
Contributions may be edited for clarity, structure, or readability.
Meaning will not be intentionally altered or misrepresented. When appropriate and feasible, contributors may be invited to review material before publication or release.
Individuals may choose how they are represented, including:
named attribution
professional attribution
pseudonym
anonymity
Reasonable efforts will be made to respect these preferences. However, once material is publicly released, complete removal or control over downstream use may not be possible.
6. Data, Records, and Storage
Materials such as recordings, notes, drafts, and communications are stored securely and accessed only by Poshlust.
These materials are used solely for agreed-upon purposes within Poshlust and are not shared outside those purposes without consent.
Retention is limited to what is necessary to complete and maintain work, unless otherwise agreed.
7. Withdrawal and Revision
Participants and collaborators may request withdrawal of participation prior to publication or final release.
Requests for correction, clarification, or modification will be considered in good faith. After publication or release, changes may be limited depending on context, distribution, and feasibility.
8. Boundaries of Practice
This is not therapy, legal advice, or medical care.
It is also not institutional research conducted under academic oversight or IRB review processes.
It is an independent practice grounded in communication, documentation, consulting, and creative collaboration.
9. Independence and Relationship to Institutions
Poshlust is independent of any employer, university, or institution.
Participation in this work does not create any academic, employment, legal, or institutional relationship. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed by Poshlust do not necessarily reflect the views of and institution or foundation.
10. Responsibility and Communication
Ethical responsibility is handled through clear communication, consent, and ongoing accountability between all parties involved.
If there are questions about participation, use of material, or collaboration terms, you are encouraged to reach out before or during engagement.
